Objective
To create a custom logo and label design for a hot sauce company.
Process
This project was a lot of fun as my mom always makes her own hot sauce and was the main inspiration for this work. The name “Sambal Ibu” comes from the Indonesian words of sambal which is chili sauce and ibu which means mom.
The logo’s design is based on an image of my mom wearing work attire and I wanted my design to be comforting like my mom to me. As for the bottle design I came up with the concept of a cute cartoon chili pepper and lime being friends in illustrator and then 3D modelled the bottle for the label to go on.
For the finished piece I moved the model to Dimension added the label and created the bottle’s box. I am really happy with the outcome of this project as I feel it showed a lot of my different skills I used together to make it.
